This was a house for my nephew in the compound of the famous Shodhan House designed by Le Corbusier. The dilemma was whether or not to follow Corbusier's vocabulary. Because of the large existing trees one house was not visible from the other. I chose to design a house as different as possible -  a simple and straightforward single storied low slung building with plastered white walls and overhangs all around; against Corbusier's 3 storied, exposed concrete, sculpted cube.
