Sketches
'I have loved to sketch from childhood. Drawing with a fine point and black ink is what I have enjoyed most – faces, places, odd things in front of me, imaginary shapes and patterns that evolve as I go along. I also like to note architectural and other thoughts. To be able to sketch what you have in mind, especially in architecture, is so important to clarify your designs to yourself as well as helping you to explain them to clients and contractors- imagine explaining the human form through plans and sections! Alas, fancy computer programs have led the new generation of architects to believe that training your hand to sketch is unnecessary.' - Kamal Mangaldas
